Want to know a secret?!

If I only had a dollar for every time I heard ‘I am so pale’ – I’d be a millionaire… So I thought I’d let you in on a little secret! We LOVE fake bake ! Years ago I discovered this from a client of mine, of course I had to try it out and I have to tell ya, I LOVE IT! I often recommend this to my boudoir clients. (oh la la!) I also use this a lot in the spring when our tans are not as amazing as they once were back at the end of summer. I find a lot of my clients lose their summer sun kissed skin by Christmas, So- in comes Fake Bake Air Brush tan. My only complaint about this is it does get everywhere. I have found it works best if I apply it in the shower. Then it is an easy clean up, If I am only using it on my face then I just use it right at my makeup mirror.

 

 

I also recommend this to my maternity clients, while a mothers glow is gorgeous- I often hear the ‘I am so pale’ story. This is a great alternative to a tanning bed. Meet Bob…

The Real Estate market seems to be the career path to get into lately, I have at least 10 friends who have recently became realtors. I’d like to introduce a new friend of ours to you, meet Bob! Bob just recently got his license as well. He told me he has always thought about it and has now finally pushed himself to do it!

 

Of course we have to have a little humor, right?! We went out the other morning to do his ‘Official Head shots’! It was a beautiful morning for portraits, although I don’t think our cozy little town can have a bad morning. Bob is one of the new faces at Keller Williams her at Grand Lake! Back to School Prayer

     A Prayer for Your Child’s Education

Lord, bless my children’s academic skills and efforts. I pray You would give each of them the desire to learn and the gift of knowledge. Help them excel in their strengths while persevering in their weaknesses. Do not let them become discouraged when they cannot grasp things with ease. Instead may they appreciate and store up the knowledge they gain.

Father, as much as I want my children to flourish in their educations, so much more do I want them to gain wisdom. Your Word teaches us that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor (Ecclesiastes 7:12), that wisdom is supreme (Proverbs 4:7) and the one who gets it will have great insight, able to understand what is right and just and fair. May wisdom enter into their hearts and knowledge be pleasant to their souls. May discretion protect them and understanding guard them (Proverbs 2:9-11).

Father, I pray that in all of life’s schools, may my children come to the conclusion that fearing You and keeping Your commandments is the ultimate duty of their lives (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Keep them grounded, centered on You, broadening their knowledge while maintaining their integrity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For the Lord gives wisdom…He holds victory…He is a shield…He guards the course…and protects the way.

Exciting News!

After being in business for 7 years, I can finally see the business coming together. I have so many things I have wanted to put in place for years and didn’t. I have an amazing support system now and also lots of help! I have learned so much over the years and the time has come, we are working super hard to make sure every area of your experience with us is amazing! Miss Grand Lake/Delaware County Pageant 2017

 

 

We recently had the pleasure of photographing the Miss Grand Lake Pageant. These girls were gorgeous! This is my first time to ever be at a pageant and see behind the scenes. I can not believe everything these girls go through! The day was jam packed full and they all looked so beautiful! I also enjoyed getting to watch them rehearse. They could sing so beautifully and those who didn’t sing had amazing dance talent. There were a variety of talents and each one was so fun to watch! The hard work of the girls show in their face, no not stress. Determination- how great it was to see a room full of dreams, and courageous young ladies going after their dream. I loved all the gorgeous outfits as well! I left wanting to shopping for a sparkly dress, although I have no where to wear such a dress. I still loved seeing each girl as they came out each time in a new outfit. Personalities were so fun and you can tell they have a passion for what they do-which totally made my day. They taught me a few new things and let me in on their pageant life- a world I have never known a thing about but am so happy to have this experience. Maybe the next one I won’t be so lost! I truly enjoyed getting to meet each of the girls and I hope to see them again at future pageants.

I have known Renee for a very long time now, not necessarily a ‘life long’ friend but years in my life and she is an irreplaceable soul, friend, motivator, mentor, and more to me. The Diver Family ~ Grand Lake, Oklahoma

The Diver family is well known around our little community and so very loved by each and every one that is blessed to know them. I am so happy to watch their girls grow and be able to capture their sweet little moments- Such a magical time!

Speaking of magical, Lyla and Ali are celebrating a birthday soon! Happy birthday to you! Miss Ali will be 3, and Miss Lyla will be 1! I always enjoy sessions with Renee, It turns into a day of catching up in each others lives and of course- tons of smiles and laughs! We started our session with Miss Lyla Belle for her one year portraits.

Oh Lyla, You keep me smiling! She is at least getting used to me, she doesn’t give me the ‘who is this alien’ look anymore. I think she actually just might like me these days! Isn’t she precious?!

A doll baby. A perfect doll baby!

Heavenly, isn’t she?! I sure think so, I can’t get enough of her cuddles. One of the perks of the job is the sweetest baby cuddles ever. Until God lets me have another one then I am going to be sure and get all these cuddles I can get. The smell of a baby, Ahhh!! (I’m washing Brooklynn in baby shampoo tonight)

Usually I have my helper (Brooklynn) for my sessions. However, Ali keeps me on my toes and is always right beside me trying to help with Lylas portraits. She tries to help change her clothes, make her smile and all, man is she s a huge help! I am looking forward to fall family portraits with this beautiful family. Renee gave me a sneak peak of the outfits so far and OH. EMMMM. GEEEE! I enjoy these sweet faces so very much, I love to photograph them and I love to share their sweet personalities with you! Chasing the dream

I remember a time when I sat behind a desk working 8-5. Monday through Friday. I spent probably 5 hours out of the day praying for God to bless me with a talent I could earn a living at. I was in photography for roughly 2 years before I realized he had answered my prayers. 

I wanted a talent I could share with others. Make people happy. Grow as much as I could handle and have the sky be the limit- who doesn’t dream of this? After I realized he had sent me blessings way beyond what I ever imagined, I ran with them. I’ve not stopped running to this day. I have been in photography for 7 years now and enjoy every second of it. I’ve done great, I’ve struggled, I have failed but I have yet to give up. I guess saying I have failed is a bit harsh. I’ll say I’ve fallen at times. It was in those times that God whispered to me ‘do not give up’. So despite any life changes or circumstances that may have been distracting to my business, I have not given up. I will continue to run after the dream in my heart because I prayed for this talent and I will not waste it. I love it to much! 

I also get the pleasure of mentoring other people who share my same passion. I get to help them chase their dream too! Sure, this creates more competition for me but the way I look at it is God will always provide for me. He gave me this talent to share with the world. No matter how much competition is out there, he will continue to guide and provide. 

We will be updating our mentorship and workshop page on our website. It is all currently being put together and we are so excited to launch it! There is so much fun stuff going on lately. It is very exciting!  If anyone is interested in workshops or mentoring, feel free to send in your email so we can send you details.
